Rail Lines

Norfolk Southern, Kansas City Southern, Redmont Railway, Tishomingo Railway and Yellow Creek Port Short Line offer rail service in the TAP Alliance region. These lines provide access to Memphis, Tennessee; Gulfport, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; Huntsville, Alabama; and many cities throughout the eastern U.S.

Kansas City Southern Railway Eastern Division

Kansas City Southern Railway runs north-south through the TAP Alliance, intersecting with Norfolk Southern in Corinth. This railway provides service south to Bay Springs and Jackson, Mississippi as well as Louisiana, and north to Tennessee.

Norfolk Southern Railroad

Running east to west, the Norfolk Southern rail line passes directly through Corinth, intersecting with the Kansas City Southern Railway and Redmont. This rail line provides access to Memphis, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama, as well as many cities throughout the eastern United States. This line also provides direct access to the ports of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Mobile, Alabama.

An intermodal facility will open in late 2012 in Rossville, Tennessee, just 65 miles west of Corinth, Mississippi. This Memphis Regional Intermodal Facility will provide rail, water, and truck transportation access in a single terminal.

Tishomingo Railroad

Serving the Tri-State Commerce Park in Iuka, Mississippi, this rail line connects with Norfolk Southern Railroad line.

Rail spurs are available and Tri-State Commerce park has a rail yard as well as a rail running into one building.

Yellow Creek Port Short Line

Starting at the Yellow Creek Port near Iuka, Mississippi, this short line interchanges with the Kansas City Southern line, provided further railway access.

Redmont Railway

This 41.5-mile short line runs from Corinth, Mississippi, to Red Bay, Alabama. This line interchanges with Norfolk Southern rail line in Corinth, Mississippi.
